Marco Bailey vs Filterheadz
Bedrock is going from strength to strength already in 2013. Following Miguel Bastida & Florian Kaltstrøm’s superb “De Barcelona a Viena EP” and Two Hand Salute’s buzzing “Scale Up” / “We Are Drum” offering, comes a killer peak-time double-header resulting from a new collaboration between Marco Bailey and Filterheadz.
Marco Bailey is flying high, having just released his critically acclaimed new album “High Volume” on his MB Elektronics label he also regularly releases his work on Bedrock, Intec and Drumcode. Meanwhile, fellow Belgian’s Filterheadz remixed John Digweed and Nick Muir’s classic “Emerald” back in 2003 and have been releasing music on labels such as Intec, 1605, Respekt, Toolroom and MB Elektronics for over 10 years now. After a short break, they returned to the techno scene in summer 2012 and haven’t dropped out of the Beatport Techno Top 100 since!
Having been friends with Marco for over a decade, they started doing some studio sessions together a few months ago and there was such a great chemistry they have emerged with these two killer tracks. “Fifth Avenue” continues to raise the bar where Marco Bailey’s excellent “Watergate EP” (BED85) left off a couple of years ago, teamed with the energetic “Mansion” it forms a perfect peak-time package.

Inxec VS Droog
The Last Night On Earth name is spreading like wildfire, due to some hugely successful releases that have garnered worldwide acclaim. The newest release from Last Night On Earth brings together a popular pairing - known for their collaborations and combined remixes, studio partners Inxec Vs Droog present their ‘Wide Open’ EP on 25th February.
In their own right, this duo make up two very well established names in the house and techno community... UK born Inxec comes straight out of the Nottingham club scene and along with close friend Matt Tolfrey, has an impressive roster of releases on high class labels under his belt. Droog is the DJ collective of Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe - the Culprit label owners have steadily built a reputation as one of the leading purveyors of forward thinking dance music, in Los Angeles and beyond with parties boasting the likes of Jamie Jones, Steve Bug, Visionquest, Nicolas Jaar and many more.
This couple come together once more to create another master mix of bounce, bass, electronic and atmospheric blends with ‘Wide Open’ and ‘Mountain Drop’. The two track EP is latest in a series of diverse electronic tracks with the inevitably slick Last Night On Earth touch.

Dirtybird Player Vol. 2
Part two of the massive dirtybird players compilation is here. This time we feature some of the labels biggest Europe based acts Eats Everything & Catz n Dogz along with some European newcomers GoldFFInch, Friend Within & 6 Stroke. In addition we still got that old school Cali crew repping with Leroy Peppers and Claude VonStroke as well as our newest addition Mark Starr from Florida.
This half of the comp goes all the way from booty bass to deep house to future dubstep and represents the various styles and directions of the label. Again, we like to keep the words short and sweet and let the music do the talking.

Digitaria
Brazilian duo Digitaria get set to ‘Shine’ even brighter with a highly anticipated second EP for the one and only Hot Creations. A potent mix of sweetly sensual vocals and dreamy electro pop with a kick for the floor, the ‘Shine’ EP is backed by a pair of exceptional remixes courtesy of cosmic icon Morgan Geist and on-point breakthrough artist of 2012, wAFF.
A-side ‘Shine’ instantly captivates with a wash of soaring synths that accentuate the warm glow of Daniela’s intoxicating voice. Lyrics forming the beating heart of the song along with the melodic bassline groove, this is a record destined to give the crowd that warm fuzzy feeling at a sunrise set. One of NYC’s finest Morgan Geist, aka Storm Queen and one half of Metro Area, bestows his genius in the first ‘Shine’ remix, introducing staccato synths, a pulsing bass beat and later an intense fusion of cosmic chimes, undulating rhythms and popping percussion.
B-side ‘Mystic Flow’ is a more late night affair, building layers of mystical voodoo over the low elastic bassline and punchy textured groove, the vocals imbued with a hypnotic snake charmer quality. Last but by no means least; wAFF’s remix of ‘Shine’ has got something of the Ame classic ‘Rej’ about it. Immersing Daniela’s crystalline vocals in a molten sound bed of psychedelic prog, wAFF knows how to get you tripping.
Digitaria is the project formed by Daniela Caldellas and Daniel Albinati, on the sunny shores of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Seducing Latin America and beyond since
2004 with their blend of romantic electro pop, the duo met Jamie Jones one steamy night in 2012 at Warung nightclub and soon got the Hot Creations boss hooked on their sound. Tracks passed over soon after became the Digitaria/Funkyfat ‘Masochist EP’, a subsequent summer hit, and the rest is history. First release of 2013 was collaboration with the Adana Twins ‘Reaction’ on Jeudi Records, and the Hot Creations ‘Shine EP’ is sure to further mark the duo as a global force of nature.

The new album 'The Art of Disappearing' by Hervé is release on 4th March on Cheap Thrills. The album features collaborations with Katie Stelmanis of Austra, Maria Minerva, Niki & The Dove and Seasfire.
Noir presents Innakat
Noir is not only a great Danish producer & DJ but an excellent A&R of his own label Noir Music. He has discovered some of the hottest deep & tech house artists of the latest years like Hot Since 82, Finnebassen and Larse. But he's not in Suara for showing us his A&R skills but for launching a new project, Innakat: the techno / club-oriented face of Noir. "Grab Somebody" is a hot piece of groovy tech, a dancefloor bomb that Coyu has played in all his sets for months. On the remix duties we have one of our fav cats, the Catalan maestro Dosem, who brilliantly turns the original track in a futuristic techno journey. Artwork by GaAs. Luciano
Luciano breezes into Cadenza Music's 10th anniversary year with a new single, 'Cachai'/'Dance Unity', released on February 25th.
Whereas previous single 'Rise Of Angel' came from the heart, this brace of new music comes strictly from the mind; heady, experimental dancefloor tracks with an air of futurism to them that sets the scene for Luciano's next album, due this year, quite nicely.
'Cachai' fuses a bouncing, morning groove with stabbing operatic vocals and searing strings, light organ keys keeping the backbone of this decidedly trippy and minimal production, Luciano taking things back to the basics...
'Dance Unity' keeps things in the similar vein, raw and minimal electronic drums, furry snares and an attention to the finer details, with hallucinatory blips, bleeps and haunting keys weaving their magic over the tracks 15 minute tenure. Luciano provides the call to the dancefloor, with 'Dance Unity's' lyric, and a fitting message in light of Cadenza's 10 year achievements.

Clouds
Twin Turbo kicks off 2013 with an EP of club-rocking house-jackers from Scottish prodigies Clouds.
Following a year that saw their critical stature soar and made fans of a growing legion of techno stars (Chris Liebing and Gary Beck both named "Consciousness" the top track of 2012), Clouds take a break from their maturation process to crank out a few knee-jerk tracks built for the masses, each crafted around a catchy hip-hop inflected vocal hook.
"Terrorcore" will scare the living sweat out of you with a deadly parade of monstrous toms and vocal sample that will force you to work through your cash-flow anxiety on the dancefloor. "Local Bubble" is the housiest, funkiest thing Clouds have ever done, a supremely playable record that will surely find a crossover audience. Finally, "HE_1523_0901", pumps the bass up with Clouds's signature distorted kickdrum sound, a minimal arrangement with more clever vocal cuts.
Twin Turbo - starting the new year with new bombs for a new generation of party people, some of whom are too young to remember when we invented high-energy dance music back in 2011.

Cadenza Records kick starts it's 10th year in the game with 'Hunter', a release that balances the warm and cinematic productions of Martin Patino's original mixes, with the dark and powerful remix by young upstart, Julien Bracht.
Title track 'Hunter', featuring the vocals of Astrid Hald, is a powerful, brooding production. The house groove develops perfectly, with the melancholic vocal back dropped by the dramatic and haunting pianos and strings. 'Hunter' is a stunning and very original piece.

Butch feat Benjamin Franklin Remixes EP
Second part of Butch’s hot ‘Highbeams’ release features three great remixes of the original 12” by esteemed producers Maceo Plex, Miguel Campbell and PBR Streetgang.. hot as you like!!
Ellum label boss Maceo Plex steps up for the first interpretation of Highbeams and stays quite close to original whilst adding his typically tight drum programming and an electro infused bass line to the party.
On the flip and its Miguel Campbell’s turn to refigure Highbeams and he does so by restructuring the original vocal around warm pads and a trademark bass line, giving it the usual injection of cosmic funk he has become so renowned for.
PBR Streetgang then throw in a classy remix of Faith characterised by detuned vocal chops, an infectious bass line and very tight production skills.
A great remix package for a great double header release..

Istiklaliya is the sophomore album from the trio Aufgang, coming out on April 15 in Europe & May 14 in the US on Infine Music. Istiklaliya means freedom in Arabic, because today more than ever, Aufgang has delivered its unique musical path. With two grand pianos joined by drums on stage, their live show switches on and sweeps away everything in its path. The A Side features the stunning ‘Highbeams’ which opens with shifting highs and rims and elongated bass notes creating a real sense of drama in the mix. The exceptional vocal talents of Benjamin Franklin then enter the foray taking the track to euphoric heights as Franklin showcases the full range of his vocal capabilities.
On the flip and Butch delivers the darker ‘Faith’ which gets moving with some intricate percussive work which gives it an incredibly organic swing. Ethereal vocal and more dramatic bass paves the way for yet another vocal bomb with Franklin’s vocals again taking center stage.
